Luann Macdonald, Principal:

Mrs. Macdonald has been with Heights Christian Schools - La Mirada Campus since the elementary school opened in September 2001. She began her career in education in 1975, teaching first grade in the public school system. She later spent 12 years traveling throughout the United States training teachers with a phonetic approach to reading. In addition to her skills as an administrator, she has a lifetime California teaching credential. With over 25 years of classroom teaching experience, Mrs. Macdonald has a real understanding of classroom dynamics and the needs of individual children. Mrs. Macdonald may be seen at virtually all school functions, enthusiastically interacting with students and parents. Under her leadership, the La Mirada Campus has grown 106%, to over 320 students since opening. She is a wonderful asset to LMHCS and her desire is to see each child excel in their academic and spiritual life. She resides in La Habra and has two grown children, who have gone through the Christian school system.

    Rebecca Neal, Vice Principal:

    Mrs. Neal has been with FRM for 12 years and currently serves as the Vice Principal at the

    La Mirada  campus.  With more than 20 years experience working with young people    

    both in and out of the classroom, Mrs. Neal has taught preschool, 3rd, 5th and 6th    

    grades.  Her administrative experiences include overseeing programs such as Day Care,

    Day Camp, homeschooling, VBS, Sunday School, and an elementary resource program. 

    Mrs. Neal enjoys mentoring teachers and has a love for learning. She has received an AA in
    Psychology, BS in Human Services, CA Reading Certificate, CA Multiple Subject Teaching
    Credential, MA in Christian Apologetics from Biola, and an M.Ed at National University.

Mrs. Neal attends Calvary Chapel, Pomona Valley, where she serves alongside her husband who is the High School Youth Pastor.  Mrs. Neal describes herself as passionate about living for Jesus, encouraging others in Him, and pursuing excellence in Christian ministry for His glory.  Her favorite things to do are study the Bible, read, and hang out with her husband and two "amazing" daughters.
